Our historic town house is five centuries old and located merely metres from the market square, striking the balance between tradition and modernity.

Come and experience our building’s Renaissance roots, which we found during renovation. We have maintained the unique atmosphere of the building while also creating stylish and comfortable rooms, which incorporate current trends and fashionable furnishings. We can also offer an elegant cellar breakfast room.

Hotel Jan is located at 11 Grodzka Street, only a couple of metres away from The Market Square (Rynek Główny), the heart of Old Cracow. From there you are close to everything!
A few minutes' walk is enough to get to all the most excellent sights in our city: the Royal Castle of Wawel, the Jagiellonian University, theatres, museums, galleries, shops dealing in antiques and other stores. You need about ten minutes to walk to the main train station and the bus station.

Hotel Jan is an old building so some of the rooms were odd shapes. This gave the hotel a certain charm, not your standard corporate box. One couple in our group were given a long thin room which they found unsatisfactory. They were moved immediately to another room which was fine. Another couple had a small kitchen within a large bathroom. My room was huge with a bathroom bigger than some rooms.

location of the hotel is excellent

overall facility, decorations, shower, breakfast area and breakfast itself are rather poor and do not give value for money

the central location and the water machines outside the room were very usefull the morning after drinking alot of Zwybec beer

The location, the mineral water available to drink, the shower was powerfull and hot. The room was kept clean and fresh clean towels and bedding provided. Good information available in the reception and the breakfast quite adequate. Some staff very good and helpfull.

Heating did not work, very cold on arrival. provided with small electric radiator for duration. Some staff were "frosty". The room fitments were cheap quality and the shower cubicle of a budget construction.Some electric points in the room were hanging out of the wall.
